Project Sagittarius A is Solargen Energy Corporation’s groundbreaking initiative to revolutionize clean energy in Kenya and beyond. We’re building a massive 200MW facility near Lamu, Kenya, to produce clean hydrogen and ammonia fuels using renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. This project will not only create a cleaner future for Kenya by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting energy security, but also position the country as a major exporter of clean fuels, driving economic growth and creating new opportunities.:

Our Partners

  • Engineering & Design: Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG will provide engineering expertise and design services for the project.
 
  • Manufacturing & Technology:
    1. Siemens AG will contribute its knowledge and technology in relevant areas of the project.
    2. BASF SE will be a partner in exploring applications and potential uses of the produced ammonia.
  • Development & Funding:
    1. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) will offer development assistance and expertise.
    2. Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZ) will collaborate on facilitating the project’s integration into the export zone.
    3. Lamu County Government will be a key stakeholder, fostering local community engagement and development.
    4. Exim Banks and Local Banks will be explored as potential sources of financing for the project

    1. Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) will be a crucial partner in grid integration and future power transmission.

    1. Vestas Wind Systems A/S will be a potential partner in supplying wind turbines for the project’s renewable energy park.
    2. JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. is a potential partner for providing solar panel technology for the project.
